Lussi is one of Kristina’s litter of 4 boys and 4 girls born on 29th January 2010. This was the only litter that I registered whilst living in Sweden. I had hoped to be able to take Lussi on a tracking test but I did not manage to do so before moving to The Netherlands. Lussi, like her mum and grandma Elsa, has an excellent eye and nose and would have acquitted herself well. She needs no encouragement to take herself off on her own tracking tests!
Her litter mates are scattered far and wide. Her brothers, Laban (Naraena Laban), the hunter, in the north of Norway, Lou (Naraena Lord) in the Swiss mountains, Odin (Naraena Loke) in Germany and Punky (Naraena Lukkas) in Kent, the Garden of England. Two of her sisters, Embla (Naraena Lif Embla) and Lykke (Naraena Lykke) also live in The Netherlands whilst Lady (Naraena Lady) is situated in Bonnie Scotland. I think one can say that this was truly an International litter!
Lussi enjoys showing and has inherited an easy flowing movement from Elsa and Kristina. She loves anyone and everybody and can’t wait for a hug so that she can react with many kisses. Lussi’s record in the showring speaks for itself where she is constantly praised for her lovely temperament and outgoing personality.
Lussi has had her hips x-rayed and has been graded with an ‘A’. Her eyes have been examined by a specialist and has a ‘clear’ ECVO Certifificate. Her kidney function has been tested by samples of blood and urine being sent to the University of Utrecht with a ‘normal’ result. With regard to the blood screening for the inherited eye disease prcd/PRA, she is ‘Hereditary Normal/Clear’ with no need for testing. This is due to the fact that her dad, Ask in Norway has been tested with the result Normal/Clear as has her mum, Kristina, and grandma Elsa, both of whom achieved the result ‘Normal/Clear’. Of course, her suitor will have been similarly health tested before the mating.
We plan to have a litter from Lussi in 2014 and, in line with the Raad van Beheer’s new policy from 1st June 2014, Lussi will be DNA tested.
We are proud that Lussi gained her Dutch Championship in 2013 and hope that she will be successfully mated at her next season.

Lussi produced a lovely litter of puppies on 29th Septmeber, 2014. One male and three females. Naraena Magnus and Marianne are in France, Naraena Manis Ajunda and Mare Bente are in the Netherlands. We look forward to watching their progress.
